Deborah has been a leader in voter registration and education. She is known for speaking out for local causes including early voting at Seminole State College, access to voting information in Spanish, and protecting Seminole's rural boundary. Deborah served as a volunteer with Seminole County schools and was a member of the Longwood 2019 Charter Advisory Committee and the Seminole County 2021 Impact Fee Citizen's Advisory Committee. She is affiliated with the Democratic Party.
Deborah earned a master's degree in mass communications from the University of Florida. She started her career in book publishing and then moved into data analysis and data visualization. She currently specializes in managing public opinion surveys and reports for the global headquarters of The Institute of Internal Auditors in Lake Mary, Florida.
Deborah Poulalion's father was a Hungarian immigrant who fled his country alone at the age of 19 after the Hungarian Revolution was crushed by Russia. After serving in the U.S. Army, Louie went on to own his own auto repair shop. "My dad fled Communism. He loved this country and taught us to appreciate our freedom," Poulalion says. "He was so proud to be an American."
